Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Associate with at least 7 years of post-admission experience to join the litigation team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage operations at the Cape Town office. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing litigation matters.
  • Supervising a junior attorney and secretary.
  • Client engagement and strategic planning.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Business development and relationship management.

Qualifications

  • LLB Degree
  • Admitted Attorney
  • Minimum of 7 years post-admission experience
  • Rights of appearance in the High Court

Skills

The successful candidate must have:

  • 7+ years of post-admission experience in:
  • Commercial litigation in all courts
  • Administrative and Constitutional law
  • Labour & Employment law
  • Experience working with public sector clients
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
  • Strong client engagement and critical analysis skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity

Salary/Package

R600,000 – R680,000 CTC (commensurate with experience)
