Job Purpose

The Mobility Department, Western Cape Government has two opportunities for a suitably qualified and competent individual to audit the activities of registering authorities who perform the registration and licensing of motor vehicles function on an agency basis on behalf of the Western Cape Mobility Department and evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of Governance, Risk Management and Control. These two individuals must have the ability to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines and willingness to regularly travel away from the office.

Minimum Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification; A minimum of 3 years relevant eNaTIS and administrative experience; A valid Code B or higher driving licence or alternative mode of transport for people with disabilities.

Key Performance Areas

Plan audit activities in line with Annual Performance Plan targets; Audit eNaTIS transactions performed at Registering Authorities; Compile and issue audit reports; Administrative duties in respect of audits performed.

Competencies

Knowledge of the following: National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996) and the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000; National and Provincial eNaTIS Security Policy; National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS).

Skills in the following: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Communication; Language; Project Management; Planning; Organising; Research; Analytical thinking; Problem-solving; Decision-making; Accounting; Finance and Audit; Economic, Financial and Statistical Analysis; Legal Administration; Analysis and processing of information.

Remuneration

R R per annum (Salary level 8)
