Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including order processing, inventory management, returns handling, staff coordination, and documentation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all processes within the warehouse are executed efficiently, accurately, and in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure all orders are picked, labelled, and packaged timeously in accordance with SLA requirements.
- Oversee the receipt, assembly, and accurate logging of new inventory items into the system.
- Manage and review processed returns, including determining corrective actions and updating product listings accordingly.
- Handle and resolve follow-ups and disputes related to returns, especially those linked to third-party platforms such as Takealot.
- Assist in the reconciliation of courier accounts.
- Coordinate the preparation of marine insurance documentation for received shipments.
- Assist in identifying products to be sold, including product aggregation, photography, and data preparation.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (weekly and monthly) and perform ad hoc inventory verifications as required.
- Maintain and update the inventory management system on a monthly basis to ensure data integrity.
- Plan and oversee scheduled inventory audits and stock counts.
- Provide hands-on support in assembling items where necessary, ensuring product accuracy and readiness.
- Support customer service by assisting with technical or assembly-related inquiries and collaborating with the customer support team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics or warehouse management is advantageous).
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and a strong sense of responsibility.
Working Conditions:
- This role involves manual handling and physical activity in a warehouse environment.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on operational needs.
Recruitment Process:
