About the role

The Alliance Française of Cape Town is hiring an experienced isiZulu teacher (foreign language) to support the growth of our language programme.

Responsibilities

  • Teach isiZulu to foreign-language learners of all ages
  • Deliver classes both in-person and online
  • Follow curriculum guidelines and teaching methods
  • Prepare lessons, monitor student progress, assess performance
  • Perform class-related administrative tasks
  • Use the Arc en Ciel digital platform

Requirements

  • Proven experience teaching isiZulu as a foreign language
  • Excellent command of isiZulu
  • Strong digital teaching skills (MS Teams, interactive whiteboards, etc.)
  • Flexibility and ability to work with diverse learners
  • South African citizenship or valid SA work visa

Contract & compensation

  • Hourly rates (day/evening classes, Mon–Sat)
  • SA employment contract
