About the role

We are looking for a qualified Afrikaans teacher (foreign language) to join our expanding language department. You will teach learners of all ages in various formats.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Afrikaans as a foreign language (group and private lessons)
  • Deliver in-person, online, and hybrid classes
  • Follow the institution's curriculum
  • Prepare lessons, assess learners, manage class admin
  • Use our digital platform (Arc en Ciel)

Requirements

  • Proven experience teaching Afrikaans as a foreign language
  • Excellent command of Afrikaans
  • Confident with digital teaching tools (MS Teams, interactive whiteboards, etc.)
  • Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented
  • South African citizen or valid SA work visa

Contract & compensation

  • Part-time, hourly-based
  • Day & evening classes (Mon–Sat)
