About the Role

Reconciliation Analyst to ensure the accuracy of transactional data through daily and monthly reconciliation. Working with high volumes of financial data to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records — collaborating with a team committed to financial excellence. Strong career progression potential, including pathways toward becoming a Financial Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily and monthly reconciliations across various payment channels and bank accounts.
  • Transaction validation and data checks from multiple data sources.
  • Discrepancy Resolution, offering practical, process-driven solutions.
  • Transaction Processing & Record Keeping, maintaining clear and audit-ready records.
  • Reporting & Collaboration: communicating issues clearly to team leads.
  • Process Improvement, identifying opportunities for automation and contributing to streamlining reconciliation workflows.
  • Participate in reconciliation-related projects in collaboration with finance, operations, and technical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years' experience in a financial operations or reconciliation environment (preferred)
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in basic accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, SAP, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numeracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with SQL or database query tools (advantageous)
  • Previous experience reconciling transactions in multi-PSP or high-volume environments (advantageous)
  • Experience with automated reconciliation tools or scripts (e.g. Python-based)(advantageous)
  • Exposure to South African financial regulations and banking practices (advantageous)
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication
