? Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Technical Support & Product Specialist
to provide advanced technical support, training, and product expertise to internal teams, distributors, and authorised service partners across South Africa.

This is a pivotal role responsible for technical escalations, distributor management, product authentication, and supporting the market with deep product knowledge. If you thrive in a hands-on technical environment and enjoy building strong partner relationships, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical information, troubleshooting, and fault-finding support on a range of printing and office technology products.
  • Act as the
    final escalation point
    for support enquiries and manage escalations to overseas technical teams where required.
  • Conduct weekly workshop visits and ensure all demo room equipment is fully operational.
  • Deliver product training to internal sales teams, distributors, and ASPs.
  • Support sales teams with technical input for tenders, product specifications, and solution-selling.
  • Maintain strong relationships with distributors to ensure expectations are met and SLAs are achieved.
  • Manage and authorise all RMAs, claims, and factory reworks from distributors.
  • Authenticate products entering the South African market (anti-counterfeit control).
  • Maintain an electronic library of firmware, manuals, and technical documents.
  • Update all sales tools and the Support website with accurate technical information.
  • Oversee licensing compliance for all equipment imported into the country.
  • Provide ongoing HSM and L&M product support, training, and monthly technical meetings.

Experience & Requirements

  • 3–5+ years technical support experience
    , preferably within the
    printing, office automation, or technology distribution industry
    .
  • Strong hardware, firmware, and software troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience managing distributor relationships and technical escalations.
  • Able to deliver structured and engaging technical training sessions.
  • Knowledge of RMA management, service processes, and product compliance.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • National Diploma in Engineering, IT, Electronics or related field advantageous.
