A 1 Year Fixed Term Contract Technical Sales Representative position has become available in the Paper Technologies Division.

Qualifications:

A Degree or National Diploma or equivalent in Pulp and Paper / Chemistry/ Biochemistry / Microbiology / Chemical Engineering is a pre-requisite.

Experience:

A minimum of 6 months' relevant technical sales experience in the Pulp & Paper industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Accurate chemical application to the pulping and bleaching processes, cooling water systems, liquid solid separation, boiler water systems and other chemical applications as required
  • Laboratory and on-site chemical evaluation related to chemical performance in various processes.
  • Accurate interpretation of chemistry related to all chemical applications
  • 100% continuity of chemical supply, inclusive of deliveries and housekeeping.
  • Strict adherence/compliance with customer standards/ required results, chemical and plant related.
  • Accurate budget and general administration
  • Maintain and improve SHERQ performance to deliver targeted sales at the lowest possible risk to the company.

Requirements:

  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Solid understanding of business systems
  • Advanced writing skills, particularly in technical report writing
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Highly organized, self-disciplined, and able to manage tasks independently

The successful candidate will be a people-person, practically orientated, able to handle pressure, a problem solver and a team member who is self-motivated.
