Customer Services Consultant

Customer Service Consultant is a representative dedicated to the resolution of customer queries directed from Technical Support Consultants, primarily, and other departments that cannot be resolved over the phone or immediately.
Cases may involve tasks such as reconciliation of accounts between primary and sub-meters, historical checking into metering accounts as well as municipal accounts, communicating to customers, and educating on software functionality, tariffs, and other related subjects. A Customer Service Consultant is one level above the Technical Support consultant in the organization. Customer care representatives will focus on and follow up on cases for as long as it takes to resolve the query.
The customer care representative will know all processes of the company related to the customers, as well as have fluency in understanding utility management software, utility billing, best customer relation practices, reconciliations, and similar tasks.
The position requires ensuring targets, quotas, and tasks are met in time all the time, while high-quality of service is maintained from themselves as well as technical support consultants at all times.
Customer care representatives are tasked with the continuous improvement of customer service processes to achieve improved results where possible, eliminate flawed gaps in customer care processes, and align with customer base growth.
This position is suited for a career-oriented applicant with the required skills, stable, honest, service delivery oriented, and dedicated to the customer case profession, loving diversity, and looking for advancement.
The applicant shall require the following skills to achieve the quality of performance set by the company:
- Must have a successful track record in customer satisfaction within a similar environment, such asa call centre
- Minimum 3 experience similar environment, such as a call centre
- Bilingual English and Afrikaans is a must (speak, read, write)
- Computer literate, keen to learn new software programs, preferably with knowledge of a CRM and or ERP system
- Excellent written and oral communications
- Relationship building skills, both external & internal
- Ability to explain and guide customers over the phone on software systems
- Ability to work under pressure and overtime when necessary
- Proven experience in managing workload and prioritizing tasks independently
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to understand and reconcile utility accounts
- Work experience and ability to work under tight deadlines and stressful environments
- Own car
Working Hours:
The work week will commence on Saturday and conclude on Wednesday, with daily working hours from 11 AM to 8 PM.
Location:
Fairlands/Northcliff when in office & remote work as well (at discretion of company and department management)
