The successful appointment is under the service and employment conditions of the University.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas: Coordinating activities for undergraduate and clinical programmes.Supervision of Masters level research if he/she holds a PhD.Teaching and learning at an undergraduate level and/or post graduate level.Participate in research programmes.Develop industry and academic partnerships.Engage in community outreach.Minimum RequirementsA Master's in Nursing or a Master's in a related Health discipline.Experience in teaching.Evidence of publication output.Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse / Midwife / Community Health Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse.Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator.An added advantage: The ideal candidate for this position should be a highly-motivated person progressing or registered for a PhD in Nursing.Experience in clinical supervision.An additional qualification in a clinical speciality and/or Health Services Management.Submission of a copy of your Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse / Midwife / Community Health Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse and Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator is a necessity.Please note that this position is part of the Joint Establishment, which refers to a formal collaborative agreement between the University and the Provincial Health Department. The appointed individual will be expected to engage in both academic responsibilities and service delivery, as per the collaborative agreement with the Provincial Health Department.
