Junior Bookkeeper

We are in search of a Junior Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant is a highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable professional responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while providing comprehensive administrative support. The ideal candidate must be proficient with accounting software, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Bookkeeping duties and responsibilities
- Transaction management:
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. - Accounts payable and receivable:
Manage invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. - Reconciliation:
Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records. - Payroll processing:
Handle payroll for employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes. - Financial reporting:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, and generate other financial reports as needed. - Budgeting:
Track expenses and monitor budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals. - Tax support:
Assist with preparing tax forms and gathering information for tax filings and audits.
Administrative duties and responsibilities
- Communication management:
Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and greet visitors in a professional manner. - Office operations:
Order and maintain office supplies, manage correspondence, and assist with general office upkeep. - File and document management:
Maintain and organize both electronic and physical filing systems to ensure accurate record-keeping. - Scheduling and coordination:
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and assist with event planning or travel arrangements. - Team support:
Provide general administrative support to management and other staff members as requested. - Policy and procedures:
Assist with maintaining and updating office policies and procedures.
Required skills and qualifications
- Education and experience:
A high school diploma is standard, though an associate degree in accounting or business administration is often preferred. Candidates should have relevant experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role. - Technical skills:
- Proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment.

- Attention to detail and accuracy:
Crucial for managing financial records without error. - Organizational skills:
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Communication:
