We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage and oversee the financial records across our group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the financial records for multiple entities within the group.
  • Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  • Manage and oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a group of companies or a similar environment.
  • Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., Diploma in Accounting, BCom in Accounting).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of South African tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
