ABOUT HILLSIDE

Our Hillside Aluminium smelter in Richards Bay produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a Supervisor Maintenance Execution, you will be responsible to lead a team of multi-skilled artisans and be responsible for the execution of Work Management and supervise work execution, inspections and observations in a safe and sustainable manner in Maintenance South

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • You will be responsible for well-designed work to ensure safe execution of all work;
  • Ensuring effective execution of all maintenance activities, including breakdowns while working on shift;
  • To co-ordinate through effective communication and prioritization plant equipment breakdown repairs to guarantee minimum downtime;
  • Ensuring quality execution and effective handover to production for all planned and breakdown maintenance activities;
  • Delivery of maintenance KPI's for your section;
  • Manage the staffing and development of personnel & contractors within your team;
  • Be prepared to work shifts if needed and perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organisation.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 - 6 years maintenance experience of which 1 year is in a supervisory capacity;
  • Acting opportunities in a supervisor role will be advantageous.

Qualifications for this role are:

  • National Diploma in a Technical field of study OR a  T3/S4 in an Engineering field of study;
  • Valid Trade Test.
