Systems Co-Ordinator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

·      The Systems Co-Ordinator represents the management of all aspects of Assurance activities across Blendcor, and thereby ensuring that Blendcor maintains a quality system which meets the requirements of IATF 16949:2016 system. This is achieved through driving the end-to-end quality agenda and culture, coaching, and working with the leadership teams at all levels to build and sustain a high-quality performance culture, working with shareholders (BP & Shell) to embed best practices in quality assurance and behaviours.

·      The role covers a whole spectrum of quality management activities – quality assurance (Blendcor to maintain a quality system which meets ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 requirements as well as requirements from shareholder LQS, QAM and GQS systems; assurance activities to maintain the system; coaching and mentoring of Blendcor employees for effective implementation of the quality system in their own areas).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Translate the Blendcor vision's quality imperatives (Great Products) into meaningful and actionable master plans

·      Maintain and update key quality performance indicators in line with the vision, align targets with the shareholders, and share/report quality performance with Blendcor leaders, employees, and shareholders

·      Maintains the Quality System and all supporting documentation which describes how Blendcor operates and ensures that it is an accurate representation of the operation and that it complies with the requirements of IATF 16949:2016; ISO 9001 & VDA 6.3, as well as the requirements of the LQS; QAM, GQS and is successfully audited to those standards both internally and externally

·      Lead, develop and maintain an annual assurance activity schedule (plant audits, supplier audits, QMS audits, management reviews, etc.)

· Proactive management of remedial actions from quality audits and reviews

· Coach and mentor quality champions weekly to ensure quality culture is maintained across Blendcor

· Work with the Production Teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing.

·  Manage and communicate quality system changes/updates to the wider business

·  Manage and update Blendcor Management System to ensure current document in use

·  Implementing quality improvement initiatives and programs

·  Support internal and external quality training

· Lead quality Champions

·  Responsible for Recoveries Department (Reverse Logistics)

HSSE AND QUALITY ACCOUNTABILITY :

·      Apply 5S Principles in your area

·      Assess and Report on Safety potential Incidents/Incidents.

·      Assess and Report on Quality Potential Incidents/Incidents.

·      Observe and Report on Continuous improvement in your area (SOC)

·      Report Quality Observations

·      Conducting Unsafe Act Auditing (UAA)

·      Facilitate Quality Incidents – Root cause analyses

·      Identification of risks/hazards within the process area

·      Internal auditing

·      Incident reporting and investigations

· Co-ordinate and compile reports on quality cultural activities (Quality star; Quality champions engagement; Quality Toolbox talks; learning from incidents; Quality Potential incidents; Quality Observations)

·      Ensure Quality incidents reported in Opsuite system (reporting system) are investigated and closed

REQUIREMENTS:

·      ND (Chemistry) Degree; or B-Tech Degree in Quality management or equivalent as a minimum

·      Minimum of 3 years petroleum laboratory and operation experience

·      Certificate in quality systems auditor (IATF or VDA or ISO 9001)

·      Experience of coaching and consulting to leaders and employees at different levels to drive and embed a quality culture

· years in the Quality Assurance space

·      Understanding of packaging and labelling in Lubricants

·      Comprehensive knowledge of analytical methods and quality assurance management in the petroleum, chemical or similar industry

·      Working knowledge of Quality systems & HSE systems (ISO 9001; IATF 16949; ISO 14001 and VDA)

·      Strong analytical skills

·      Strong in problem solving skills

·      Good communication skills

·      Good teamwork skills

·      Computer literacy (Advance Excel is preferable)

·      Supplier management skills

·      Trained internal auditor (H & S or E or Q)
