About the Role
: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial health, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Responsibilities
:

Reporting
:

  • Ensure correctness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Effective financial reporting and administration service delivery.
  • Prepare information for board packs, project updates, and other ad-hoc financial reporting information.
  • Financial reporting to subsidiaries / Special Purpose Vehicles.
  • Prepare financial reports for management and shareholders.

Financial Management
:

  • Manage and control subordinates effectively and productively.
  • Assign roles and delegate responsibilities to bookkeepers and accountants.
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Prepare budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Advice on and review of finance-related matters (distributions, cash flows, finance issues, technical issues).
  • Understand the Service Level Agreements (SLA) with Debtors and Creditors.
  • Monitor delivery per SLA requirements and then ensure payments in line with agreed costs and services.
  • Aid in business decision-making.

Accounting & Control
:

  • Ensure the sound financial control of the company, and the ongoing operations of the projects.
  • Ensure appropriate management and financial accounting practices.
  • Review and sign off on debtors, creditors, and bank reconciliations on time.
  • Oversight and control of monthly payments to all suppliers and service providers.
  • Processing and loading cash payments.
  • Full control and management of the Credit process for customers.
  • Asset register management.

Audits & Corporate Governance
:

  • Work with the Group's Finance department and comply with Group policies and procedures.
  • Oversee corporate governance compliance.
  • Preparation of audit packs.

Tax & other
:

  • Review tax calculations and returns.
  • Manage the company's insurance and renewals.

Qualifications
:

  • BCom, CIMA, CFA, CA, or appropriate qualification essential.
  • Registered with a professional institute.
  • Must have at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Sound knowledge of South African Accounting and Taxation policies and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Buildsmart/Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Proficiency / Interest / Knowledge / Experience with Technological Integration into Accounting is an added benefit.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Required Skills
:

  • Sound knowledge of South African Accounting and Taxation policies and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Buildsmart/Xero) and MS Excel.

Preferred Skills
:
