Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Public Administration or similar NQF 7
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develops, designs and contributes Strategic Capability and provides high Leadership in the Office of the Executive Mayor and Council by
  • Advising and briefing the DH: Executive Support Mayor, on all matters pertaining to the empowerment of women and gender equality; to ensure effective performance of the political role in the Executive Arm of Council by acting as a catalyst for Affirmative Action with respect to gender equality
  • Overseeing institutional capacity building amongst women leaders to ensure the ongoing implementation plan of IDP and performance against service deliver
  • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policy in own practice area to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.
  • Developing, drive and oversee budget implementation. Provide input, monitor and control budget in line with the MFMA and proper audit and financial accounting of the City
  • Ensure effective long, medium and short term plans are developed for the implementation of objectives with a view to achieve all set goals and standards for the directorate
