We already have the customer base — tens of thousands of American travelers who trust us to plan their dream vacations. Now, we're building a brand to deliver the same magic across Africa's most iconic safari destinations — and we're looking for the first hire in Cape Town to help us make it happen.

The Opportunity

This is not just another job — it's a ground-floor opportunity to help launch and shape a global safari brand backed by an established international travel group.

As our first Cape Town hire, you'll be the local pioneer, responsible for:

  • Setting up our safari operations and supplier network across South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and beyond.
  • Building relationships with lodges, tour operators, and transport providers.
  • Creating once-in-a-lifetime itineraries that we can resell through GoIrishTours, GoScottishTours, GoIcelandTours, and other brands.
  • Working closely with our marketing and sales teams in Ireland, Dubai, and Asia to package and scale the safari experience globally.

You'll have the freedom and backing to build something major — with support from a 150-person international team and the resources of a fast-growing travel group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Launch: Lead the setup of our African safari division — from operations and suppliers to pricing and logistics.
  • Partnerships: Identify and negotiate with safari lodges, camps, and transport providers to create premium, high-margin packages.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with our U.S. and Irish sales teams to train them on safari products and ensure smooth cross-selling.
  • Quality & Experience: Curate experiences that exceed expectations for our international travelers.
  • Scaling: Build the local team and infrastructure as demand grows.

Who We're Looking For

  • Proven background in travel, tourism, or hospitality, ideally in the safari or luxury adventure space.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and ready to build from scratch.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Deep local knowledge of African safari regions and travel operations.
  • Passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for travelers.
