Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in the City of Cape Town for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth. Daily responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans, negotiating contracts, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role also involves representing the company at industry events and providing insights to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management
- Proven ability in strategic planning, market research, and identifying new growth opportunities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting for informed decision-making
- Experience working in B2B environments or the merchandise procurement industry is beneficial
- Proactive problem-solving skills and capacity to handle complex projects
- Familiarity with AI-driven platforms or digital tools utilized for procurement management is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
