Role

AltGen is looking for a Project Manager: Key Accounts to join a renewable energy trader in Cape Town. The role will project manage the onboarding process for new customers, to ensure smooth transitions and client satisfaction. The role will also build and maintain strong customer relationships, oversee post-sales project management activities and draft reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all documentation and initial support are in place for a smooth transition.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Identifying bottlenecks in processes and developing solutions to refine processes
  • Serve as the primary contact for enquiries, maintaining strong ties with both new and existing customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports detailing energy usage, the Company's performance, and relevant regulatory updates.
  • Proactively engage customers to understand their objectives and maximise the value they receive from the Company.
  • Track key performance metrics across accounts.
  • Address customer concerns swiftly, coordinating with internal teams to resolve service-related problems and sustain high satisfaction levels.
  • Identify opportunities to refine onboarding and account management workflows. Implement best practices for greater efficiency and coordinate cross-functional projects to meet milestones.
  • Work closely with technical teams to understand and convey product details, ensuring customers grasp essential energy and regulatory nuances.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Business, Project Management, Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up customer onboarding processes, account management or similar
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g, Trello, Asana, MS Project)
  • Proven track record in documenting, refining, and managing processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Experience with developing and implementing processes or systems to address bottlenecks in operations
  • Comfortable understanding and explaining technical details, particularly around energy usage and regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
