Are you a technically minded, customer-focused sales professional with strong experience in the industrial sector? My client, a well-established and reputable company, is seeking a Technical Internal / Counter Sales Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has solid SYSPRO experience.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the recruiter overseeing this placement, I am looking for an individual who is confident working with technical products, can provide accurate advice to customers at the counter or via phone/email, and is comfortable managing quotations, orders, and stock queries through SYSPRO.
Key Responsibilities
Assist walk-in and telephonic customers with product selection and technical support
Prepare quotations, process orders, and manage customer requests using SYSPRO
Ensure accurate pricing, stock availability, and timely order fulfilment
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
Handle counter sales, invoicing, and general sales administration
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Matric
Technical internal or counter sales experience within the industrial sector (essential)
Strong working knowledge of SYSPRO – able to process orders, quotes, and stock queries
Good understanding of industrial products, components, or equipment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and strong administrative accuracy
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
R13 500 CTC to R15 000 CTC per month based on experience and qualifications
