Internal Sales Administrator and Support
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years of experience in internal sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage client relationships, handle inquiries, and contribute to achieving sales targets. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support:
Assist the sales team with order processing, client inquiries, and administrative tasks.
•
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with timely and accurate information ensuring we offer the best solution for them.
•
Quotation Preparation:
Prepare and follow up on sales quotations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
•
Order Management:
Process customer orders, track progress, and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery.
•
CRM Maintenance:
Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate data and sales activity records.
•
Product Knowledge:
Develop a thorough understanding of the company's products and services to offer expert advice to clients.
•
Upselling and Cross-Selling:
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to meet customer needs and exceed sales targets.
•
Problem Resolution:
Handle customer complaints or queries, ensuring a satisfactory resolution while maintaining a professional demeanour.
•
Market/Client research and Meeting scheduling:
Have the skills and capabilities to search for projects and clients within the relevant industries, gather all relevant information, as well as setup a meetings for Business Development Managers to attend.
Skills and Qualifications:
•
Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
•
Education:
o A relevant diploma or certification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration (preferred but not mandatory).
•
Technical Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Excel needs to be at least intermediate or advanced.
o Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
o Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
o Needs to have experience working on Teams (preferred but not mandatory)
•
Sales Acumen:
o Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
o needs to understand basic sales and financial principles (GP, Margin, Debit, Credit, Sales, Cost of Sales, etc)
• Communication Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Strong negotiation and persuasive skills.
• Organizational Skills:
o Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
o Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Interpersonal Skills:
o Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
o Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
• Problem-Solving:
o Analytical and solution-oriented approach to customer issues and inquiries.
Additional Requirements:
• Knowledge of the Data Centre and Construction industry would be highly beneficial.
• Ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving goals.
