Senior Technical Product Manager: Remittance

The Senior Technical Product Manager: Remittance isresponsible for the strategy, design, and delivery of remittance products andplatforms that enable secure, fast, and compliant money transfers (domestic andcross -border). This role ensures alignment with regulatory frameworks, customerexperience goals, and enterprise technology strategy, while driving innovationin digital payments and international money movement.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & RoadmapDefine and own the remittance product vision and roadmapacross digital and enterprise platforms.Align remittance solutions with business strategy, globalpayments initiatives, and customer demand.Monitor trends in cross -border payments, digital wallets,blockchain/crypto remittances, and real -time payment networks.Balance customer -centric design with security,compliance, and cost efficiency.Product Delivery & ExecutionLead cross -functional teams (engineering, compliance,payments operations, partnerships) to deliver remittance products, APIs, andservices.Translate regulatory and business requirements intodetailed product specifications and user stories.Oversee delivery of payment rails integrations (SWIFT,SEPA, Visa/Mastercard, mobile money, RTP networks).Drive API -first, cloud -native solutions to supportdigital channels (mobile apps, web, agent platforms).Governance, Risk & ComplianceEnsure compliance with local and international remittanceregulations (FATF, AMLD, OFAC, FinCEN, SARB, etc.).Partner with AML/Fraud teams to embed sanctionsscreening, KYC/AML, and transaction monitoring in remittance flows.Manage risk frameworks for cross -border transactions,foreign exchange (FX), and correspondent banking relationships.Support audit and regulatory reporting obligations forremittance operations.Data, Analytics & OptimizationPartner with data teams to implement real -time monitoringof remittance flows.Leverage analytics to optimize pricing, FX spreads,transaction speeds, and fraud prevention.Drive customer insights and feedback loops to improveremittance user experiences.Stakeholder & Vendor ManagementCollaborate with banks, money transfer operators (MTOs),fintech partners, and payment networks. Negotiate and manage relationships with global remittancevendors and technology providers.Act as the bridge between compliance, business, andengineering teams, ensuring delivery of secure and seamless solutions. ​Represent remittance product strategy in executivesteering committees and regulatory engagements. ​ RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, InformationSystems, Finance, or related discipline (mandatory).Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc in FinTech,Payments, or Risk/Compliance) – advantageous.Professional Certifications (preferred/required):Payment's certifications (e.g., Certified PaymentsProfessional – CPP, AAP/NACHA).Compliance: CAMS (Certified Anti -Money LaunderingSpecialist).Product Management: Agile Product Owner (PSPO, SAFePOPM).Cloud/Integration certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, APIManagement).10–12 years' experience in product management, financialservices, or fintech, with at least 5+ years in remittance or payments -focusedplatforms.Proven track record in delivering remittance/paymentsystems, digital transfers, or cross -border payment products.Strong understanding of payment rails, FX processes,correspondent banking, and mobile money ecosystems.Experience embedding AML/Fraud controls, sanctionsscreening, and KYC/identity verification into remittance products.Hands -on exposure to digital channels, APIs, and partnerintegrations in payments.Prior experience with regulated financial institutions,fintechs, or global MTOs preferred.Strong technical product management expertise inpayments/remittances.Deep knowledge of global remittance regulations,compliance frameworks, and operational risks.Excellent stakeholder management across compliance,treasury, risk, technology, and external partners.Ability to balance customer experience, compliance, andcost efficiency in remittance design.Strong analytical skills with a focus on transactionmonitoring, fraud detection, and cost optimization.Exceptional communication and leadership skills forcross -functional influence
