As part of your portfolio as a
Manager: Senior Developer Remittance Platform
you will:

  • Translate the Group Fintech Remittance Platform strategy into actionable technical development roadmaps.
  • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant system architectures supporting remittance, interoperability, and cross-border money movement.
  • Support platform modernization through adoption of microservices, APIs, and containerization.
  • Ensure alignment between Group Fintech technology stack and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead and manage the
    end-to-end software development lifecycle
    — requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Ensure
    quality assurance and code excellence
    by implementing rigorous review, testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Drive
    DevSecOps adoption
    to enhance platform reliability and security.
  • Collaborate closely with
    Product, Compliance, and Business Operations
    to develop technical solutions that support new remittance corridors and partnerships.
  • Optimize platform performance for
    latency, transaction throughput, and resilience
    .
  • Develop reusable APIs and integration frameworks for partner banks, mobile money operators, and PSPs.
  • Manage system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational manuals.
  • Oversee
    incident resolution
    and
    root-cause analysis
    for critical system issues.
  • Enforce adherence to
    software governance standards
    , including coding guidelines, data privacy, and security protocols.
  • Implement robust
    release management
    and change control practices.
  • Participate in
    vendor evaluations and technical assessments
    for new tools and frameworks.
  • Drive
    continuous improvement
    initiatives through automation, performance tuning, and benchmarking against global best practices.
  • Stay abreast of
    industry advancements
    in remittance platforms, payments infrastructure, and regulatory technology.

The incumbent
must have
the following:

  • 4-year Engineering/ Business Science (or related) Degree
  • A recognized software development certification / degree / diploma
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience in product design and engineering in a Fintech or financial services environment
  • Understanding of the Fintech ecosystem, players, business models and financial sector or banking industry related best practices
  • Experience at the management level in the financial sector
  • Experience in development, prototyping, and initial production of products within the financial sector or banking industry
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile practices
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies; Pan Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous
  • Understanding remittance product development lifecyle advantageous
