Job Description

We are seeking a
Senior Electronics Engineer
to take a central part in the design and validation of our next generation ball and player tracking electronics.

Role Overview

The Senior Electronics Engineer will lead the development and validation of embedded electronic systems that underpin our Smart Ball and player tracking platforms. You will play a pivotal role in designing high-performance low-power electronics for real-world sports applications while ensuring robustness, manufacturability and scalability. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team, offering the chance to make a direct impact on the performance insights of world-class athletes.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics Design & Validation

Decompose high level requirements into discrete electronic needs.

Lead the design and implementation of digital and analog circuits to achieve product functionality.

Validate prototypes both in the lab and in live field environments to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability.

Product Development Lifecycle

Own the hardware design cycle from concept and architecture through to production and certification.

Collaborate with mechanical, RF, and embedded software engineers to integrate designs into final products.

Technical Leadership

Mentor junior engineers and support peer design reviews.

Drive design-for-manufacturing (DfM), design-for-test (DfT), and compliance processes.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners to manage prototyping and production builds.

Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to balance technical feasibility with business priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience
    in electronics design, preferably for low-power, embedded MCU-based systems
  • Proven track record in schematic design and PCB layout (Altium preferred).
  • Strong understanding of digital communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, etc.).
  • Strong electronic debug and analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take products from concept through to production.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with
RF technologies
such as GNSS, Bluetooth, UWB, WiFi or NFC.

Familiarity with
certification processes
(CE, FCC, UKCA).

Knowledge of power optimization, EMI considerations, and system-level debugging.

Experience in sports technology or other rugged, real-world embedded applications.
