We are seeking a
Junior Electronics Engineer
to support the design, prototyping, and validation of their next generation ball and player tracking electronics. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer at the start of their career to develop their skills in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment and contribute directly to products used at the very top levels of sport.

Overview:

As a
Junior Electronics Engineer
, you will be part of the electronics team and will design and test embedded electronic systems that enable our client's pioneering sports technology products. You will be involved in the full hardware product lifecycle from concept through prototyping to production and will develop hands-on skill in circuit design, PCB layout, and lab-based validation.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about electronics, problem solving, innovative product design combined with a strong desire to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Prototyping:

  • Requirement analysis and breakdown
  • Schematic design and PCB layout for embedded systems.
  • Support the assembly and bring-up of prototypes.

Testing & Validation:

  • Perform lab testing of electronic subsystems using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and other equipment.
  • Conduct field validation alongside engineers and sports teams to ensure performance in real-world conditions.

Collaboration:

  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers, learning best practices in electronics design.
  • Contribute to design reviews and provide support across hardware, software, and mechanical teams.

Manufacturing Support:

  • Assist in liaising with suppliers for prototype builds.
  • Learn and apply principles of design-for-manufacturing (DfM) and design-for-test (DfT).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree (or final-year student) in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and communication buses (I2C, SPI, UART, USB).
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering).
  • Interest in embedded systems and low-power design.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium preferred).
  • Experience with using and programming MCUs.
  • Exposure to RF technologies (Bluetooth, UWB, GNSS, NFC).
  • Awareness of regulatory testing and certification processes.
  • Passion for sports technology, data, and performance analytics.
