Position overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Debtor's Clerk to join our operations team in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in credit control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage client account payments and invoices
  • Follow up on outstanding debtor accounts via telephone and email
  • Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve payment queries
  • Maintain accurate debtor records and filing systems
  • Prepare age analysis reports and statements
  • Assist with month-end debtor reconciliations
  • Liaise with clients regarding payment arrangements
  • Support the finance team with general administrative duties

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12)
  • Basic understanding of debtor's administration
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Advantageous:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a debtor's or credit control role
