Senior Manager – Finance Operations (Relocation Opportunity: Mauritius)

This is a rare opportunity to join a Mauritius-based Finance Operations Centre as a Senior Manager of Finance Operations - leading a team of 15–20 professionals in a fast-paced, international environment.

You'll play a pivotal role in managing complex reconciliations, driving automation, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives. This position combines hands-on operational oversight with leadership, ensuring the team functions as a true Centre of Excellence supporting global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance operations team of 15–20 staff, fostering accountability, growth, and technical excellence.
  • Own and optimise reconciliation processes across multiple entities; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and resolution of variances.
  • Define and execute strategic initiatives for automation, process re-engineering, and scalability.
  • Oversee audit preparation and act as the primary point of contact for auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive delivery of team OKRs, ensuring alignment with broader finance and business objectives.
  • Resolve complex financial and operational escalations while maintaining effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years' experience in financial operations or accounting, including 3–5 years in leadership roles managing large teams.
  • Strong background in fintech, payments, or financial services industries.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or CA(SA)) required.
  • Proven experience with complex reconciliations, automation, and system implementation projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to relocate to Mauritius (visa support provided).
