Assistant Manager – Finance Operations (Relocation Opportunity: Mauritius)

We're working with a global fintech leader expanding its Finance Operations Centre in Mauritius. As Assistant Manager – Finance Operations, you'll support senior leadership in managing global reconciliations, implementing automation initiatives, and driving process improvements across the finance function. You'll gain exposure to complex, multi-entity operations while developing leadership and project management skills within a fast-growing global business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Control

  • Oversee daily and monthly reconciliations across multiple entities to ensure accuracy and compliance with policy.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and financial variances, providing insights to management.
  • Support month-end close processes, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and integrity of financial data.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and assist in audit preparation and compliance reviews.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities for process simplification and automation across the finance operations environment.
  • Collaborate with the systems and technology teams to enhance reconciliation tools and workflows.
  • Participate in automation and transformation projects (e.g., RPA, ERP upgrades).

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise and support junior analysts, providing technical guidance and training.
  • Work closely with global finance teams to ensure consistent processes and reporting standards.
  • Present updates on performance metrics and project progress to senior management.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA) with 1–3 years post-articles experience.
  • Background in fintech, shared services, or financial operations.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of reconciliations and control frameworks.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) advantageous.
  • Experience with complex reconciliations advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and Excel skills.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to relocate to Mauritius (relocation and visa assistance provided).
