Finance Operations Manager (Relocation Opportunity: Mauritius)

We're partnering with a leading global fintech company that powers digital payments for some of the world's biggest brands. Their Finance Operations Centre in Mauritius is expanding, and we're looking for a Finance Operations Manager to lead a dynamic team in driving operational excellence, automation, and process improvement across the global finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 5–10 Finance Operations Analysts.
  • Set clear goals, conduct regular feedback sessions, and foster a culture of accountability and learning.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top finance talent.

Operational Excellence

  • Own the timely and accurate completion of complex reconciliations and control processes.
  • Review reconciliation outputs, resolve breaks, and ensure financial data integrity.
  • Maintain strong governance and internal controls across all financial operations.

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved scalability.
  • Lead and support finance transformation initiatives such as system implementations and RPA-driven enhancements.
  • Act as a finance operations SME in cross-functional global projects, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Track KPIs and report results to leadership, highlighting key performance and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, accounting, or shared services.
  • Minimum 1–2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or CA(SA) preferred.
  • Proven track record managing complex reconciliations and month-end processes.
  • Experience driving automation or process re-engineering initiatives.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and leadership presence.
  • Collaborative communicator who thrives in high-growth, global environments.
  • Willingness to relocate to Mauritius (relocation assistance and work visa support provided).
