As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Junior Technician in Johannesburg to join our team.

In this role, the Junior Technician is responsible for maintaining the efficiency and optimal performance of hardware and software systems within a solar renewable energy company. Additionally, the technician will troubleshoot issues, perform system maintenance and updates, and ensure customer satisfaction by providing technical support.

Main Responsibilities:

1.Troubleshooting and Support:


• Assist end-users and employees in troubleshooting inconsistent programs.


• Identify complexities within systems and applications.


• Report findings to management for resolution


• Do System Maintenance and Updates


• Update system features to increase operational productivity.


• Ensure system recoveries.


• Capture information in Zuper

2.Plant Maintenance:


• Washing of PV panels


• Cleaning of Inverters


• Make sure there are no loose connections.


• Testing if the voltage is still correct.


• Making sure the plant is still functioning fine.


• Capture information in Zuper

3.Customer Service Orientation:


• Provide customer support to ensure customer satisfaction.


• Configure and troubleshoot various systems, including web-based products and mobile devices.

Requirements

  • Qualified electrician or candidate with at least 1 year of wiring experience.
  • Experience in solar energy systems, particularly hybrid systems, is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Experience in wiring and technical support roles, including exposure to troubleshooting electrical systems, diagnosing technical issues, and providing effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and system analysis.
  • Ability to install applications, perform OS setting changes, and configure user accounts.
  • Familiarity with network hardware and peripherals.
