Restaurant Receptionist – Prestigious Landmark Cape Town Venue

Join a landmark restaurant and events destination located on one of Cape Town's most prestigious wine estates. Celebrating 21 years of hospitality excellence, this well-established venue is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, scenic beauty, and unforgettable guest experiences.

We're seeking a warm, articulate, and emotionally intelligent
Receptionist
to be the welcoming face of our busy front-of-house team. This role blends hospitality, coordination, and communication, ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they call or walk into our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests with warmth and professionalism

Manage bookings and walk-ins via Dineplan and our reservation system

Answer calls and respond to email enquiries with clarity and care

Provide accurate information on restaurant availability, menus, and events

Maintain a clear booking calendar and coordinate restaurant-based events

Communicate guest preferences to FOH staff and management

Liaise with hostesses, waitstaff, and managers for smooth service

Attend team briefings and relay booking updates and special requests

Monitor and respond to emails and calls professionally and promptly

Record payments and balances, ensuring clear communication with staff and management

Manage and man our reception desk and manage all administrative tasks

The ideal Candidate:

Warm, gracious, and emotionally intelligent communicator

Confident multitasker with exceptional attention to detail

Calm and solution-oriented under pressure

Minimum 3 years' hospitality reception experience
(non-negotiable)

A proactive self-starter who thrives in a high-volume environment

Must be based in Cape Town and must have the right to work in South Africa
