This is a pivotal leadership role for an entrepreneurial and commercially astute professional who excels at SELLING, BUILDING, and DELIVERING high-impact digital solutions. You will take full P&L responsibility for the Digital Advisory unit, stepping into the shoes of the newly promoted CIDO to whom you will report directly.

Your core mission is to drive the strategy, sales, and delivery across a suite of cutting-edge service offerings, expanding the client base into the private sector while leading a dedicated technical delivery team. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to build upon a strong foundation with the full support of senior leadership.

Performance Objectives for Year One

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to achieve the following outcomes within the first 12 months:

  • Strategic Revenue Growth: Lead the Digital Advisory sales strategy to achieve an annual new business revenue target of R30-R40 million by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value digital transformation and advisory projects.
  • Private Sector Portfolio Expansion: Architect and execute a go-to-market strategy to aggressively grow the private sector client base, establishing new, long-term C-suite relationships while successfully maintaining and nurturing the existing public sector portfolio.
  • End-to-End Practice Leadership: Successfully manage the entire lifecycle of the practice (SELL, BUILD, DELIVER), taking full P&L responsibility for the business unit. Lead, mentor, and develop the 7-8 person technical delivery team to foster a culture of high performance and innovation.
  • Digital Solutions Delivery: Oversee the successful scoping and delivery of complex projects across the core service lines, including Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Process Automation (RPA), Cloud Migration, and Application Modernization, ensuring exceptional client outcomes.

Profile for Success

To achieve these objectives, you will need to demonstrate a track record of:

  • A verifiable history of both selling AND delivering complex digital advisory services, having personally achieved annual sales targets in the R30-R40 million range.
  • Proven experience leading a practice or business unit with P&L or significant budgetary responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in building C-suite relationships and securing new business in both the private and public sectors.
  • Experience leading projects that leverage technologies like Data Analytics, Process Automation (RPA), and Cloud solutions to solve tangible business problems.
