Job Title: Channel Sales Manager

Our client is a global leader in reliable networking devices and accessories, and they are an international distributor. In South Africa, it provides innovative Wi-Fi routers, switches, range extenders, security cameras, and smart home solutions to both consumer and business markets.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Channel Sales Manager for their team in Midrand.

The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding their distribution and reseller network across South Africa. This role focuses on building strategic relationships, driving sales performance, and maximizing product reach through channel partners. A strong focus will be placed on partner establishment, market analysis, and retail alignment to ensure sustainable growth and brand presence.

Required qualification and working knowledge:
  • Relevant professional certifications in sales, account management, or channel management are an added advantage.
  • Existing network within the industry or relevant channel partners.
  • Knowledge of the company's products or related technology solutions.
  • Proven track record in developing joint business plans and implementing channel marketing initiatives.
  • Proven experience in channel sales, key account management, or business development roles.
  • Demonstrated success in managing strategic partner relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience in B2B sales and partner enablement.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and partner management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, sales forecasting, and account planning.
  • Experience in training and supporting partners or resellers.

  1. Account Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
    • Regularly review partner performance and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  2. Sales and Revenue Growth
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets through channel partners.
    • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
    • Monitor sales metrics and forecast revenue trends.
  3. Strategic Planning
    • Collaborate with partners to create joint business plans aligned with company objectives.
    • Develop marketing initiatives and campaigns to support channels.
    • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for channel growth.
  4. Partner Enablement
    • Provide training, resources, and tools to partners to ensure they can effectively sell products or services.
    • Facilitate product and solution knowledge-sharing sessions.
    • Ensure partners are updated on new product launches, promotions, and company policies.
  5. Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the onboarding process for new channel partners.
    • Ensure adherence to partnership agreements and compliance standards.
  6. Reporting and Analytics
    • Track and report key account metrics, including sales performance and ROI on initiatives.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on account status and growth opportunities.
