Purpose of the Job:
The Corporate Fleet and Rental Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Dealer Fleet, Corporate Fleet and Rental customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving sales and retention strategies. This role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, product development, and aftersales teams to meet the unique needs of fleet customers. The Corporate Fleet and Rental Manager acts as a key point of contact for Dealer Fleet, Corporate Fleet and Rental customers, providing them with tailored solutions and support. To creatively and innovatively work across various streams in generating new and alternative business partnerships that support the xxxxx strategy. Responsible for the contribution towards the xxxxxx sales objectives and building long-term client relationships.
Key accountabilities:
Business Operations
• Providing professional advice to Head of Sales and Dealer Fleet, Corporate Fleet and Rental users, developing relationships with suppliers and maintaining a rolling investment plan within budgetary requirements.
• Work on pricing, contract negotiations, and customization of vehicle orders to meet fleet customer demands.
• Track and analyze fleet customer orders, sales, and profitability metrics to optimize the fleet program's performance.
• Lead a Dealer Fleet, Corporate Fleet and Rental sales opportunities to achieve sales targets
• Prepare bid requirements and partner with Head of Sales and CFO on the commercial requirements
• Negotiate and close agreements with Dealer Fleet, Corporate Fleet and Rental customers
• Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs
• Effectively present, demonstrate, and explain features and benefits of appropriate vehicle and aftermarket products and services
• Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
• Stay up-to-date with new product launches.
Fleet administration
• Assisting with the drafting and implementation of effective policies and processes regarding fleet operations.
• Managing strict vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimise downtime.
• Assessing the performance, cost and suitability of vehicles and planning for future requirements, to ensure the fleet achieves the necessary sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management
• Establish productive and professional relationships with key stakeholders in assigned customer accounts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet customers, addressing inquiries, issues, and providing ongoing support.
• Conduct regular check-ins and reviews with fleet customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
Coordination & Collaboration
• Coordinate with internal teams, including production, logistics, finance, and aftersales, to ensure timely delivery and service for fleet customers.
• Provide input to product development teams regarding fleet customer feedback and requirements for new models or features.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to fleet customers.
Reporting
• Establish daily, weekly and monthly prospecting and sales goals, prioritizing and organizing work for productive results, and utilizing time effectively
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on fleet performance customer satisfaction and sales results & forecasts
Perform any other related duties as requested Management
• Perform ad hoc tasks and prepare ad hoc reports as may be required by the Executive or management.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Experience
• At least 8-10 years work experience within an automotive company
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer service, preferably in the automotive or fleet management industry.
Skills and attributes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry and fleet management best practices.
