With a deep focus on preventative care, personalization, and technological innovation, our platform combines face-scanning vital signs, health scoring, AI-driven recommendations, and personalized product guidance—all wrapped into a sleek, intuitive mobile experience. We're preparing to launch imminently on the US Apple App Store, and are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Product Owner to take over the product function from our CTO and drive the next phase of growth.

About the Role

As Product Owner, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle of our flagship app—from shaping strategy to sweating every UX detail. You'll work directly with our CTO (technical lead and product visionary) and CEO (business and brand strategy) to ensure our app doesn't just keep pace with the healthtech landscape—it sets the benchmark. You will own the product, shape its roadmap, and relentlessly iterate to keep us at the forefront of design, technology, and user impact.

Key Responsibilities

● Own the Product Roadmap: Define, maintain, and execute the product roadmap aligned with company strategy.

● Be the Voice of the User: Champion UX excellence and continuous improvement based on user behavior, feedback, and industry best practices.

● Lead Feature Development: Translate vision into clear, detailed product requirements (user stories, wireframes, acceptance criteria).

● Drive Delivery: Collaborate daily with our dev team (based in South Africa and India) to prioritize work, remove blockers, and ship high-quality releases.

● Technical Fluency: Understand and challenge technical architecture, suggest scalable solutions, and align features with our AI-driven backend.

● Design Savvy: Partner closely with UI/UX designers to ensure every screen is pixel-perfect and every interaction feels magical.

● Stay Ahead: Track market trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies to keep our offering ahead of the curve.

● Startup Mindset: Be hands-on, proactive, and deeply accountable. You are not a process person—you are a product force.

Requirements

Must-Haves

● 5+ years of product ownership or product management experience with mobile apps (iOS preferred).

● Proven experience owning and launching successful consumer-facing products, ideally in health, wellness, or tech sectors.

● Strong understanding of technical systems, mobile architecture, and Agile methodologies.

● AI Product Experience: Demonstrated experience building or managing AI-powered products—ideally involving machine learning, LLMs, personalization, or health analytics.

● Experience in small, fast-paced startups—you've built things from scratch, made decisions quickly, and worn many hats.

● Excellent UI/UX intuition and a knack for creating delightful user experiences.

● Data-driven mindset with fluency in metrics, A/B testing, and iterative improvements.

● South Africa-based and able to work closely with our development team.

● Comfortable collaborating with C-level stakeholders and providing strategic input.

Nice-to-Haves

● Background or interest in healthtech, or wellness.

● Familiarity with App Store release processes, analytics tools, and mobile performance metrics.

● Experience working with remote teams and international launches.
