Key Account Manager Retail

Sandton - Gauteng - South Africa

Reporting to the GM you will be a consumer retail experienced Key Account Manager. A vision-driven individual to assist in retaining top customers as well as nurture key relationships and discover new business opportunities.

Essential Experience and Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success, preferably within the IT Consumer field (distribution, system integrators, vendors)
- Existing relationships in the South African consumer/retail environment
- Experience in the SADC markets would be beneficial
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Well-structured thinker, analyzer, and problem-solver
- Good decision maker
- Flexible and able to adapt to work in a fast-paced style environment
- Demonstrates high ethical standards and commitment in all business and commercial dealings

Key Result Areas:

- A solid understanding of the consumer market, competitors, and business trends.
- Implement distribution strategy and complex business and sales development, demand, and sell-out generation within assigned partners
- Sales planning by accounts, brands, categories, and SKUs
- Everyday communication and regular negotiations with partners, orders processing, new product listing, promo actions agreements, and implementation.
- Product merchandising and visibility both offline and online
- Promoters coordination
- CRM / PSI reporting
- Conducting assortment, pricing, listing, distribution and other types of market research
- Partners in time payments collection, DSO responsibility for trusted partners
- Ensure the establishment of timely and accurate sales and marketing deliverables and documentation
- Ensures the timely flow of business documents between the customer and the company
- Assists in the development and negotiation of program pricing and responds to customer pricing
