We offer visitors an enchanting journey through the picturesque vineyards of Franschhoek, and now we're seeking a talented Cafe Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional service to our guests. In addition to managing our cafe and retail operations, this role will also encompass supplier management.

**Role Overview**:
As the Cafe Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of two cafes, located within the beautiful Franschhoek region. You will be responsible for managing a team of cafe staff, ensuring top-notch customer service, overseeing all aspects of cafe operations, retail management, and effectively managing relationships with suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Cafe and Retail Operations**: Manage all aspects of the cafe's daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, quality assurance, and oversee the retail section's product display and sales.
- **Supplier Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with cafe and retail suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, quality products, and cost-effectiveness.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, train, and motivate cafe and retail staff, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism.
- **Customer Service**: Ensure a welcoming and customer-centric atmosphere, addressing guest inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- **Menu and Product Management**: Collaborate with vendors, manage inventory, oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, and also manage product selection, stocking, and displays.
- **Financial Management**: Monitor and control expenses, optimize pricing, and contribute to achieving revenue targets for both the cafe and retail sections.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Proven experience in cafe and retail management.
- Own transport and licence.
- Strong supplier management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and motivating a team.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of food and beverage industry trends, as well as retail management principles.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control for both cafe and retail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Passion for providing high-quality guest experiences and retail product offerings.
- Proficiency in cafe, retail, and supplier management software and tools.
