**About the Role**

As a Café Assistant, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You’ll prepare and serve food and beverages according to our Café Menu, ensure service standards are upheld, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

You’ll work closely with the café and retail team, supporting both front-of-house and kitchen operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare food and beverage orders in line with café standards and recipes.
- Ensure all items are prepared and served according to **Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)** and **health & safety regulations**.
- Conduct stock checks and inform the manager of any shortages or faulty equipment.
- Assist customers with orders and payments at the **Point-of-Sale system**.
- Support kitchen and retail operations as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient team environment.

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum 1 year of Barista experience**.
- Basic knowledge of **kitchen hygiene** and **food safety standards**.
- Familiarity with **Point-of-Sale systems**.
- Able to work **flexible hours**, including weekends and public holidays.
- **Fluent in English** with excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, reliable, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- **Positive attitude**, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Reliable transport to and from work.

**Education**
- **Matric Certificate** required.
- **Barista Certification** advantageous.
