**Job Purpose**:
As a Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the engineering and technical teams to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of marine vessels. Leveraging your expertise in marine manufacture and project management, you will drive innovation, quality, and efficiency in technical operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the engineering and technical teams in the design, development, and production of marine vessels, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering staff, including designers, drafters, and technicians.
- Oversee project planning and scheduling to meet production targets and customer delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development initiatives and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to optimize efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of technical performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions as needed.
- Manage engineering budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective operations and project execution.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering and technical teams.
- Mentor and develop staff through coaching, training, and performance feedback.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**:

- Technical Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marine manufacturing/engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of successful project management and delivery in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of marine vessel design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong technical proficiency in CAD software, ship design tools, and engineering analysis methods.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, quality, and efficiency in technical operations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Certification or licensure in marine engineering or project management is a plus.
- Sailing and boating experience
