**Purpose of the Job**:
The purpose of this Team Lead role is to assist in leading solutions from technical perspective within ShopriteX on behalf of the System team which aims to deliver solutions for complex problems within a fast-paced technology environment. This role provides technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring the team is equipped and enabled to deliver high impact, high-quality results while driving technology advancement in support of the Groups technology strategy.

**Job Objectives**:
**Technical **Leadership**

Plan and manage all activities within the area of technology and oversee related systems activities within the area of function.

Primary Focus will be in assisting various system teams’ integrate, pulling the solution together from an End-to-End perspective.

Lead the team’s collaboration with technology stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain the solution as well as collating and providing management metrics of progress for all phases of the SDLC, but emphasis again will be on Quality, Integration and End-to-End.

Develop detailed documentation of how integration and end-to-end between all involved systems will be achieved, measured and ultimately achieved.

**People Leadership**

Lead, coach and mentor a multi-skilled team (I.e., cross functional teams) ensuring high competence and delivery of individual and team output, removing impediments and ensuring the team is motivated to achieve individual and collective objectives.

Drive overall teams maturity and adequate resourcing to efficiently deliver tasks, identifying and encouraging areas for growth and/or improvement.

Initiate or participate in the team capacity planning, staff requisition and recruitment processes, including the new team member onboarding and stakeholder engagements.

**Projects, stakeholder, and technology partner engagements**:
Plan and manage key deliverables for systems or process improvement projects.

Manage projects within the provided scope, commitments and best practice, whilst ensuring collaboration and progress with relevant business stakeholders and teams.

**Reporting**

Provide metric based reporting on the status of Integration Quality for the involved systems.

Provide metric based reporting on the status of the End-to-End Quality of the involved systems.

Provide metric & status report regarding the health for the solution and systems involved.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field - (essential).

**Experience**:

- +4 years’ experience in a technical (SDLC - Software Development Lifecycle) Team Leadership role, with demonstrable experience leading and managing the delivery of system/software/technical projects and solutions within a large and complex technology environment - (essential).
- Proven experience leading a technical team, including coaching, mentoring, and driving individual and collective performance - (essential).
- Proven experience in landing complex software development projects - (essential)
- Expertise in a variety of software development approaches and methodologies (SDLC) - (essential)
- Experience in both architecture and implementation-level software design - (essential).
- An SME in either of the following phases of the Development lifecycle - Development; and/or Quality; and/or Deployment/DevOps. - (essential)
- Experience and the ability to convert the progress of the SDLC and output into metrics. - (essential)
- Experience and the ability to explain/discuss complex solutions with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and obtain buy-in. - (essential)
- Experience and the ability to forge processes in their absence, inclusive of associated IP artifacts. Alternatively, review processes and provide input for optimization. - (essential)
- Experience in creating technical optimization to avoid significant setbacks prior experienced. (Failing Fast)
- Experience and ability to anticipate needs and shortfalls and subsequently planning and implementing technical assets to aid the potential shortfalls.
