- **Financial accounting**: preparation of financial accounts and establishing accounting policies/procedures. Prepares financial reports and budgets for the executive to support the financial decision-making process.
- **Financial Management**: Oversee all financial aspects of the program, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- **Financial Reporting**:Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial reporting system for the program, ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.
- **Partner Negotiations**: Lead financial negotiations with coalition partners, ensuring fair and profitable program structure for Sanlam Rewards & Loyalty.
- **Revenue Management**: Develop and implement strategies to maximise program revenue through member acquisition, engagement, and redemption optimisation.
- **Risk Management**: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with the program.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all program activities comply with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- **Data Analytics**: Collaborate with the IT team to utilise data analytics for financial insights and optimise program profitability.
- **Internal Collaboration**:Work closely with other Sanlam Rewards & Loyalty teams (Marketing, Sales, IT) to ensure program financial alignment with overall business objectives.
- This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of Sanlam's participation in the coalition reward program. By combining financial expertise with strategic thinking and the ability to build strong relationships, the Head of Finance & Accounting will be instrumental in maximising program value and achieving Sanlam's financial objectives.**What will make you successful in this role?**

**Financial Expertise**:

- Accounting & Financial Reporting: Proven experience in financial accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Strong analytical skills and the ability to build complex financial models to assess program profitability and forecast financial performance.
- Coalition Program Experience: Understanding of the financial dynamics of coalition programs and their unique revenue streams.

**Leadership & Strategy**:

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business goals into a clear and achievable financial roadmap for the program.
- Relationship Management: Proven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including CFOs and CEOs of coalition partners who may not be from financial services backgrounds.

**Sanlam Specific**:

- Sanlam Business Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Sanlam Group's business lines, products, financial strengths, and risk profile.
- Internal Relationships: Established network of relationships within Sanlam to ensure effective program implementation and collaboration across departments.

**Strategic Focus Areas**:

- Maximising Program ROI: Implement strategies to optimize program revenue and minimize costs, ensuring a strong return on investment (ROI) for Sanlam Rewards & Loyalty.
- Partner Value Creation: Negotiate win-win partnerships that generate mutual benefits for Sanlam and coalition partners.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data analytics to identify cost savings opportunities and optimize program pricing and reward structures.
- Long-Term Sustainability: Develop a long-term financial plan that ensures the program's financial health and aligns with Sanlam's overall growth strategy.

**Qualification and Experience**
