Our client is an international investment and trading company with an interest in the industrial minerals, chemicals, agriculture, and fertilizer markets.

They have various positions for Commodity Traders who have 5-10 years’ experience in commodity trade (coal is a must) and export commodities.

**Position details**:
Establishing a commodity line of businesses, starting with coal and adding other commodities defined by the company.
To develop business strategies to find gaps in the commodity trading space in SA and internationally. To develop business models whereby product security, quality consistency and financial securities are achieved.
Negotiate the marketing and communication plans within the key markets in liaise with the BD team and local representatives and other parties involved.
Recommend appropriate policies regarding pricing, product and market evaluations.
Maintain knowledge on all competitor products and activities.
Coordination with the representatives of our company remotely all over Africa in terms of market analysis and appropriate sales strategies.
Monitoring all sales transactions and reviewing all customer response for all orders and payments. Providing required activity reports to management.

**Job Qualification & Experience**:
5-10 years experience in commodity trade (coal is a must) and export commodities.
Having knowledge in following minerals is a must; coal, industrial minerals, manganese/iron ore.
Having knowledge in the following minerals is a plus; Copper, Lithium, Cobalt, PGM and Gold.
Experience in mining/commodity trade sectors in following countries is plus; South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Ethiopia, DRC, Egypt and other African countries.

Experience in living / working abroad is a plus.
Knowledge about international trade, logistic, commodity trade etc is required.
Hedging knowledge and price risk management is required.
Advanced planning and organization skills, time management, strong decision making.
Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and sales oriented.
Advanced level of English is a must, having a knowledge in French & Arabic is a plus.
No obstacle to travel.
