KPAs:
**The Divisional Manager - Credit Risk will**:

- Manage the implementation of the Divisions strategic and operational plans, policies, and procedures.
- Manage strategic credit risk management programme.
- Assist in the evaluation and approval process of proposed new loans and staff loans.
- Compile credit risk reports.
- Identify, assess, and address the impact of negative, external influences.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Effectively implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide various governance committees with accurate information thereby facilitating effective decision-making.
- Manage Capex and Opex to ensure financial sustainability.
- Ensure that the divisional spending is in line with relevant legislation and adhere to procurement policies and procedures
- Manage Human Capital

**Requirements**:

- Matric and Honours Degree in Commerce.
- Post graduate qualification in credit management or CFA will be advantageous.
- 5-7 years management experience in credit risk management and assessment within the financial services/development finance corporation
- Must have worked as a Credit Manager or Senior Credit Manager in Commercial Property Finance, Structured Finance, SMME Lending, Agriculture, Franchise, Procurement and Project Finance environment
- Credit portfolio management experience would be advantageous.
- Membership of the Institute of Bankers in SA preferred
- Membership of Risk Management South Africa preferred.

**Requisite Functional Competencies**:

- Computer literacy (Ms office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Knowledge and experience in financial planning and forecasting.
- Knowledge and understanding of Public Financial Management Act.
- Knowledge of corporate governance principals.
- Knowledge of risk management concepts, frameworks, and methodology.
- Knowledge of credit management including the related statutory requirements.
- Knowledge of IFRS 9 Impairment model is essential.
- Knowledge of Banks Act, Companies Act and other relevant legislation applicable to financial institutions, lending and compliance.
- Knowledge of ECL credit model.
- Experience in policy drafting and report writing
