- The Head of the department oversees all of land portfolio optimisations, formulates the bulk infrastructure projects and focused on the impact of the environment with regards to WETT. One of the key focus areas of the role is on driving innovations in resources efficiency, sustainability and green development driving a smart and innovative city including urban design strategies. This role develops and maintains an internal
Sustainability and Urban Design capability and manages relationships with external Stakeholders to achieve strategic objective in terms of new and existing portfolio.
- Key duties:
Business Management
- Identifies and Manages Infrastructure, land use Masterplan and Sustainability opportunities from inception to delivery.

Financial Management
- Manages the financial aspects of all Infrastructure, Sustainability and Urban design projects.

Strategic Relationship Management
- Manages service providers working on sustainability projects on behalf of company or joint venture developments.
- Builds and maintains relationships with property and development industry, joint venture partners

Sustainability Management
- Executive custodian of the E in ESG, formulates the specific E- strategy.
- Standing invitee to the TSE board sub-committee meeting, responsible for reporting to EXCO and TSE with regards to the implementation of the E-strategy.
- Chairperson of the Group Sustain Exco, reports monthly to Exco on all relevant E-Strategy matters

Risk Management
- Identifies and manages business risk

Acts as Deputy Information Officer
- Ensures compliance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA)

Staff Management
**Requirements**:

- Relevant Qualification in Business, Engineering or Property related field
- A minimum of 8-10 years in a with a specific focus on Urban Design and Sustainability
