Our client in the Financial Public Sector, has an EE opportunity available for Head: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) to be based in the Midrand area.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in any of Development Finance, Energy, Environmental Science, Development or Social Sciences
- Must have a minimum 7 years of relevant experience at a senior management level in environmental risk and social discipline, preferably in the financial sector
- Extensive understanding of the environmental arena, including legislative (both existing and emergent), social and market developments, regarding environmental issues, technical issues, industry issues and the implications of all these developments for the organisation’s customers, employees, stakeholders and shareholders.
- Demonstrable experience in environment impact assessment, social policy and advisory in a ESG project investment environment
- Understanding to the global, regional and local ESG/Sustainability and Decarbonization standards.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management/Networking/Relationship Building in particular in terms of ESG.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of sustainable development, relevant legislation, regulations, policies, systems and procedures governing infrastructure planning and development environment.
- Infrastructure and development finance project experience will be desirable
- Relevant science degree would be desirable

KPAs:

- Develop and implement the ESG strategies, frameworks, policies and processes in the Organisation aligned to Good International Industry Practice (GIIP) in ESG.
- Oversee and assign appropriate specialists to provide ESG technical expertise, conduct due diligence, risk analysis and recommendations on potential investment deals and/or programs/projects/assignments to enable business to make appropriate decisions.
- Prepare presentations and relevant reports for EXCO, Board, Board sub-committees and the Shareholder in respect of the ESG.
- Provide direction and management to the direct reports to enable the execution of strategy and manage their portfolios effectively.
