We are looking for a senior System Administrator to join our team in Cape Town on a permanent basis. The right person will be wanting to work within an intelligent, motivated, and self-driven team. Good communication skills and an effective problem-solving approach is a must. You would need to be very conscious of the importance of sharing knowledge and working with other team members.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Manage tickets and requests**:

- Evaluation of all tickets with a first-time effort at resolution approach.
- Assist with technical escalation of issues.
- Assist with end-user onboarding projects and migrations.
- Monitor and escalate tickets according to priority or impact.
- Keep users informed on status and progress of their tickets.
- Help to improve efficiency, processes, documentation, and automation.

**Technical skills**:

- Strong knowledge and experience of Office 365 Administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Azure services.
- Good working knowledge of networks, firewall and routing.
- Power shell scripting and use for administration.
- Good research skills, evaluate industry trends, assist in implementing standards and best practices.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric (or equivalent).
- Relevant tertiary qualification / certification e.g. IT degree or diploma, MCSE or Microsoft certifications MS or AZ pathways.
- 5 years’ formal IT experience - which involve troubleshooting, configuring, deploying and administrating Microsoft physical, virtual servers and operating systems.
- Solid experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy and End Point Manager.
- Experience maintaining and administrating O365 Exchange, backups and antivirus.
- Basic LAN, WAN and Firewall administration, troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Able to work independently and be resourceful in difficult situations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and on a consistent basis.
- Excellent organisational, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and deliver on commitments in a timely manner.
- Driver’s licence and own transport.
