**Purpose of the Job**:
To ensure continuous IT infrastructure service delivery for IT users through timely installations and resolving issues.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Incident Management of end users and devices
- To set-up, configure and install end point devices, i.e. desktops and POS
- Manage infrastructure vendors, i.e. cabling, UPS, Voice, Data, end point installations

**Job Objectives**:**
Incident Management of end user and store devices**
- Reported incidents to be resolved within agreed SLA and adherence to different user authority levels and accompanying SLA's.
- Second line telephonic user and remote support.
- Site visits to resolve issues and ownership and resolution of problems.
- Provide advice and/or training to users, manage expectations and escalate unresolved issues.

**To set-up, configure and install end point devices, i.e. desktops and POS**
- Reload, configure and install new end point devices (PC's, POS), software end point devices and peripherals (printers).
- Ensure integrity and security of user or end point data and adhere to installation standards and configurations.
- Update relevant systems such as Remedy, Spectrum, SCCM etc.
- Liaise and manage third party vendors to perform installations or maintenance and ensure compliance and standards are enforced.
- Service, install and configure of end point devices and printers as part of rollout projects.
- Engage and understand business requirements for new site requirements and ensure IT equipment is ordered as well as installation and configuration of store end point devices.
- Ensure software installation and IT equipment is included in Staging Schedule.
- Escalate delays of schedules installation and provide regular progress updates of site installations.

**Additional requirements**:

- Code 8 driver’s license

**Qualifications**:**
Essential**
- Grade 12 qualification
- A+ or N+ certification

**Experience**:

- Previous working experience in IT Field Support is an added advantage

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Computer proficient Microsoft products i.e.: Windows, Office suite etc
- Familiar with networks topologies, support and setup
- TCP/IP Networking
- Excellent analysing and interpreting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Be able to think proactively
- Time management skills
- Ability to cope with pressure and setbacks
