We have an exciting role with a large Construction Concern in Ireland for a qualified Engineer with 15 to 20 years Project Director/Management experience and living in South Africa, looking to move abroad.
The Construction Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex, large scale luxury, high rise building projects **(hotels, hospitals, government buildings, luxury resorts) **projects. Let’s delve into the specifics of this position:
- **Role and Responsibilities**:
- Lead **a team of construction project managers**. This team may include various professionals such as Contractors, Sub-contractors, Engineers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Builders, etc.
- They work across diverse industries, ranging from **construction** to end of project delivery
- The Construction director ensures the **successful conclusion of the project** by:
- Providing **strategic leadership**.
- **Managing risk**.
- **Monitoring finances**.
- Ensuring that each phase of the project starts and ends **on schedule**.
