Our client is a leader in their industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and fostering strong business relationships. They are looking for a motivated and results-driven individual to join their team as an External Sales Representative, serving the Gauteng region with a focus on the Northwest Province and Zambia.
In this role, you will take ownership of driving sales growth and nurturing long-term relationships with distributors and end users. You will identify opportunities, resolve customer concerns, and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction through proactive engagement and strategic planning.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Present, promote, and sell products to distributors and end users.
- Foster distributor growth through targeted end-user engagement.
- Develop in-depth product knowledge through training and self-driven research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
- Generate and pursue customer leads, including cold calling.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and coordinate sales strategies.
- Analyse market potential and track sales performance using CRM software (Skynamo).
- Report insights on customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends.
- Actively seek feedback to enhance personal performance and sales results.
- Stay informed on regional trends, opportunities, and events.
- Communicate effectively with internal sales staff to maintain a cohesive sales approach.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a sales representative (industry-specific experience not mandatory).
- Minimum qualification - Matric Certificate.
- Ownership of a reliable vehicle for daily use.
- Strong ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
- Highly motivated, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Skilled in tailoring presentations to meet audience-specific needs.
- Open to feedback and experienced in relationship management.
- Willing to travel to outlying areas (Northwest monthly / Zambia quarterly).
