An opportunity exists for an exceptional **Boys Junior Prep** **Teacher**to join the school from **January 2026.**

The Junior Prep Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of learners in Grade 0-2. The role requires a strong commitment to academic excellence, child-centred pedagogy, and the school's values.

**Duties (not an exhaustive list)**:

- Teaching Grade 0 - 2, dependent on experience, including all regular classroom expectations and duties
- Mentor, support, and develop intern teachers
- Participate in extracurricular activities as required
- Promotion of the St Peter's Prep Schools attributes and values
- Teach according to the St Peter's Prep Schools Best Practice Pedagogy

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Relevant Foundation Phase Degree
- At least 5 years of full-time experience teaching in Foundation Phase
- SACE Registration
- Grade 2 experience would be an advantage

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong classroom management and ability to create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Sound understanding of the Junior Prep curriculum with the ability to adapt lessons to diverse learners.
- Creative and innovative in lesson planning and delivery, using age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet individual learning needs and varied learning styles
- Confident in integrating technology to support teaching and learning.
- Professional integrity with a commitment to upholding the school’s ethos, values, and safeguarding responsibilities
- Collaborative team player who contributes positively to the school’s culture.
- Organised and efficient, with strong planning and time management abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic Junior Prep environment.
